The weekend I was looking forward to just passed by. It’s the weekend when City2Surf took place. An annual fun run here in Sydney considered to be one of Australia’s biggest event. I joined for the 2nd time and this year with colleagues from work. Registered ourselves to be part of Singapore Airlines blue team. An open group where no qualification time was needed to join.
How did we prepare? Weekly group runs around the city from office to Botanical Gardens then back to work. Or uphill in Pyrmont. Whichever suited us. That’s how we practised for almost 3 months.
On the day of the run, my main goal was to finish the race less than 2hrs (120 mins). How did I fare? 100 mins! Yes! 20mins below my target! Also, I almost run the entire race. Managed to walk only for 500-600…
