One cup long grain rice and two cups water
Put water in a large non stick skillet and bring to a boil then turn down to a simmer. Simmer covered for about 15 minutes, or until all the water is absorbed and rice grains are cooked and tender.

You can substitute chicken broth for the water or tomato juice or V8 for a more Savory texture, adding Italian seasonings or garlic and dried or fresh basil.
