Garden Marinara with Three Cheese Tortellini, or Spaghetti or Penne

This is an easy open the cans and dump recipe, with exception to the wonderful diced zucchini that adds texture and freshness and flavor to the Italian tomato sauce.

Once you open the cans, dump all the contents into a large capacity crock pot, along with however much minced garlic you’d like and Italian seasoning, sauteed fresh or canned mushroons, and then the Great Value Meatballs. Again, you can certainly make your own from scratch, as I normally do, but the family I cook for loved these, and they were amazingly great, especially aftee soaking up the sauce for hours!

Cook on high until the sauce begins to simmer. Once it simmers, turn the heat to low and cook for 4 hours. You can cook it longer, but the sauce will become more concentrated.

You can also add cooked artichoke hearts to the sauce or Sautee some onions with the garlic when you Sautee the chopped zucchini.

Eight 8 oz. Cans of Hunts Tomato sauce with Garlic and Basil
Crushed Tomatoes one pound 2 oz large can
Italian Seasoning
Minced garlic or high quality garlic powder
1 large diced zucchini
One 15 oz can mushrooms or 1 pound button mushrooms,  sautéed.
