12 Biscuit Proportions:

2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/3 cup butter, margarine- I used I Can’t Believe it’s Not Butter in stock form and they come out fantastic with less saturated fat than butter
2/3 cup 1% or 2% milk or (unsweetened soy milk)

1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 -1/2 tablespoons margarine or butter
1/3 cup milk or soy milk

Makes 6 biscuits

Lastly for 1 person

1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 and 1/4 tablespoons margarine or butter
2 and 1/2 tablespoons milk

Mix all ingredients with a pastry blender or mixer, just until blended and dough holds together.

Heat oven to 450 degrees and bake 12 to 15 minutes.

Enjoy with eggs in the morning or with soup and salad for dinner.

You can make these sweet by adding a little sugar to the dough, also raisins and top with cinnamon sugar.
