Beautiful Baby Heirloom Tomatoes, Baby Tricolor Peppers and Whole Wheat Penner (Inspired by Chef Mario Batali)

On Mario Batali’s web page on Facebook he does something really cool. He asks everyone what four ingredients do you want him to make something extraordinary with. Today I was one of the lucky ones he chose as he read  “Paulette Motzko in Las Vegas Nevada”, and I’m gave him some of the produce that I have in my place with the whole wheat penne pasta garlic and olive oil and Mario Batali suggested cooking the whole wheat penne, checking it every few minutes. He finds that the whole wheat pasta doesn’t hold up as well as the semolina based pasta and gets mushy faster- which I thought was interesting.

He said that chop and saute them baby tri-color peppers and heirloom tomatoes with extra virgin olive oil and garlic and make a sauce out of them, and possibly adding a little bit of habanero chili or jalapeno for a little bit of punch.

I say thank you Mario Batali!

I think you’re an extraordinary person and it’s wonderful all the things you’re doing for charitable causes. One of these days I would just love to have an interview with you, I would love to try some of the delectable dishes in any of your restaurants.

Recipe to be continued….
