1 cup granulated sugar
One half cup canola oil
One teaspoon Watkins pure almond extract
Three and a half cups unbleached all-purpose flour
One tablespoon aluminum-free baking powder
One cup Fisher whole almonds
Mix all ingredients (except almonds) using the paddle attachment on your KitchenAid mixer and then once blended,
switch to the dough hook and add in the almonds.
Mix until well Blended.
Form into two long logs on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake 20 minutes at 375 degrees, or until golden brown.
Cool for about 10 minutes and slice on the diagonal into 1/2 inch slices.
Place the slices cut side up onto the baking sheet, and bake for an additional 5 minutes on each side.
Cool completely before storing.
