Chickpea Flour Breakfast Pizza from

I adapted my version slightly from Hummusapien’s  version, making it my own. It’s an awesome blog and I look forward to trying more of the great recipes on it too.

I got some chickpea flour recently and made a falafel dish with it.  The chickpea flour is made from ground-up chickpeas and has protein and fiber in it.

These came out so well and are so easy to make. Not only are you getting fiber from the chickpea flour but also protein. If you like the flavor of hummus you’ll like these.

After you get the chickpea cakes done, top with scrambled eggs or in my case I took the equivalent of two eggs which is one half cup egg substitute and scrambled it in a Gotham steel pan with no fat added to the pan – because you can do that with a Gotham steel pan!

I added some mrs. Dash Southwest chipotle seasoning to the eggs, and it gave them a nice flavor.

You can vary it any way you like to make it your own.

I topped mine with great value Peach Chipotle salsa.

Chickpea Cakes

1/3 cup chickpea flour

1/3 cup water or vegetable stock and the seasonings of your choice.

A touch of Chef Merito’s Garlic Powder or a little minced garlic.

I have bad habit of not eating breakfast and these are awesome and because of the high fiber, high-protein easy as can be to make and vegetarian, it’s a super triple win recipe.

Chickpea flour really isn’t flour at all in the sense of being a grain, but ground up chickpeas. So, you’re getting all the nutrition and flavor from the chickpea, including keeping your hunger pangs down.

A Chef’s Cap off to, and this great recipe I found by searching high fiber breakfast ideas using Google Voice Search on my Galaxy Note 4.

Ain’t technology great!
