1 head Romaine Hearts
1 Dole mandarin orange slices in fruit juice
One pouch of Starkist low sodium tuna in vegetable broth
Just get a large salad bowl and rip up the romaine hearts lettuce with your hands. Assemble all the ingredients in a artistic fashion using the amounts that you personally would like to have on it. I used about 1 tablespoon of sliced almonds, and I used about 2 tablespoons of the avocado orange dressing which is really high in monounsaturated fat.
Fresh Orange Avocado oil Vinaigrette
4 tablespoons avocado oil. I used La Tourangelle brand Artisan oil
6 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
Two teaspoons honey
2 teaspoons or more of freshly grated orange peel
Salt and pepper to taste or you can use the mrs. Dash garlic and herb salt-free seasoning instead like I did.
