4 -1/4 cups King Arthur stone-ground whole-wheat flour
2 tablespoons Argo non aluminum baking powder
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup plus 1/4 cup Hoosier Farms dry buttermilk powder
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons either olive oil, canola oil or grapeseed oil
Mix all ingredients in a KitchenAid mixer or other good quality mixer with a wire whisk attachment.
Mix all of the dry ingredients one by one on low speed making sure all of the leavening is incorporated thoroughly.
Once all of the dry ingredients are Incorporated thoroughly then add in very slowly the oil, drizzling the oil and gradually, mixing with a wire whisk attachment until all of the oil is incorporated with all of the dry ingredients.
This method works great for any kind of dry baking mix that you make homemade.
This recipe can be doubled easily to make larger amounts.
